Rather than provide a review of WordPress plugins you can check out to back-up your blog I’m going to recommend the plug-in which I personally use with my WordPress weblogs.
Of course, you are free to head over to WordPress.org and examine different backup plugins. I simply wanted to share with you exactly what I utilize simply because I prefer it. It is certainly, your choice.
WordPress Database Backup
WordPress Database Backup is a great plugin developed by Austin Matzko. WordPress Database Backup produces a back-up of your WordPress tables (tables are your data…posts, etc…) as well as other details that one can choose within the same database.
The plugin is not difficult to implement. You can down load it right here at this link: http://austinmatzko.com/wordpress-plugins/wp-db-backup/ and use your FTP software to upload it to your WordPress Plugin folder.
Yet as you probably know these days, you can install plug ins straight from your WordPress administrator page.
Simply login to your WordPress site, and then click the ‘Plugins’ link on the left sidebar and after that click the ‘add new’ button around the top of the page. Next type in ‘WordPress Database Backup‘ and this should be the 1st result. If not, it’ll be near the top. Then simply click install, and go set up the plugin.
Here’s a key step that must not be disregarded. You actually have got to create a back-up of your website! Believe me, people forget to perform this step! Hey, it is as important as setting up your blog…therefore don’t neglect this.
